  1. Disaster Recovery Contingency Planning

Objectives:

  • Follow guidelines established by Regulatory Agencies
  • Follow and maintain Covid-19 regulatory Requiements
  • Maintain up to date information
  • Safety and protection of life is the priority during emergency situation
  • To recover in the shortest period of time
  • To maximize ability to perform servicing
  • To notify affected customers of situation
  • To keep the service/supply line uninterrupted

 

When:

Natural Disaster: earthquake, tornado, flood, Pandemics

 

Artificial Occurrence: Gas/Chemicals leakage, unexpected fire, explosion

Other: Strike, shortage of material supply, war (terrorist action), financial failure

 

Off-site storage of data, either paper or electronic storage is critical to the recovery process.

Emergency contacts include in addition to 911 responses (as appropriate)

  • Electrical Supply
  • Gas Supply
  • Land line communications
  • Wireless communications
  • Technology support (computer)
  • Equipment and personnel suppliers

 

  1. Human & Environment:

Upon discovering emergency situation:

  • Raise alarm
  • Take appropriate steps to guard personal safety
  • Call 911 describing the nature of the emergency
  • Minimize In-person Interactions and practice safety social distancing, where practical
  • Encourage face masks, as necessary, while working
  • Maintain sanitizing stations and needed materials
  • Assume Virtual meetings and off-site, as practical, working that can be conducted
  • Set up outside delivery table for deliveries with appropriate notification by delivery personnel
  • Monitoring of personnel health, temperatures, illnesses, coughs and encourage them to seek medical care, as necessary

 

  1. Facilities, tools personnel and materials:

 

  • Assess damage to facility or critical tooling and contact appropriate repair/replacement supplier immediately
  • Inventory loss of materials, contact suppliers immediately
  • In case of personnel shortage, maintain source of qualified replacement personnel
  • Maintain back up suppliers in case of supplier failure
  • Use signage to effectively communicate safety measures within and outside of the building
